Public Hearings

 

Public hearings allow residents to comment on current issues involving the City. They are required for items related to Annexations, Development Plans, and Plans of Service. However, Public Hearings can be used on other items.

Public hearings are advertised in the Williamson Herald or Tennessean prior to being placed on the Board of Mayor and Aldermen agenda where they will be discussed. If you have questions or would like to request a copy of a public hearing notice, please contact the City Recorder’s Office at recorder@franklintn.gov.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Franklin will hold a

Public Hearing concerning Ordinance 2026-10, Ordinance 2026-11, Ordinance 2026-08, Ordinance 2026-12,

Ordinance 2026-13 and Resolution 2026-41 on the 9th day of June at 7:00 p.m. in the Williamson County

Auditorium, 1320 West Main Street, Franklin, Tennessee, 37064, for the purpose of receiving comments

from interested citizens regarding the proposed budget for the City of Franklin for the fiscal year 2026-27.


 
6/23/26 Resolution 2026-56:

The Board of Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Franklin, Tennessee (the “City”) will hold a public hearing on June 23, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., local time, in the Williamson County Administration Complex, 1320 West Main Street, Franklin, Tennessee 37064 regarding the establishment of the Armistead Infrastructure Development District (the “District”) as an infrastructure development district pursuant to the terms of Tennessee Code Annotated Sections 7-84-801 et seq. (the “Act”).  The proposed District is approximately one hundred ninety-two acres consisting of one parcel with the following address in Franklin, TN: 1740 New Highway 96 West. 

 

The establishment of the District has been requested by a petition filed pursuant to the Act by ArmisteadTN, LLC, the developer of the District and owner of the property located therein.  If approved by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, a special assessment would be levied against all parcels of property within the District to help defray a portion of the infrastructure costs required to develop the District.

 

A copy of the petition, which describes the District, the proposed special assessment, and the infrastructure and other costs proposed to be funded therewith is attached below.  All persons may appear at the public hearing in person, by attorney, or by petition and protest against the creation of the District.

 

This notice is provided pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated Section 7-84-812.
