 Jerry Hatcher has served as the Director of the Streets Department since December 2024.  Prior to that appointment, he served the City for three years as the Assistant Director of Streets.

Jerry has over 30 years of Civil Engineering experience.  He previously worked as Assistant Director of the Construction Division and Director of the Maintenance Division with the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

He is a licensed engineer and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.  He is a member of the Middle Tennessee Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers where he has served as a member of the Program Committee, Board Member and Section President. He is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.  He served for many years on the Board of Advisors for the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at UT, Knoxville.

Jerry, his wife, and daughter reside in Spring Hill, TN and are active members of Fellowship Bible Church in Franklin.  He is an avid cyclist and enjoys hiking in America's national parks.
