Envision Franklin articulates the long-term vision that will direct future development in a way that strengthens the City and creates exceptional places for people.  The Plan provides guidance for land use decisions, managing the quality of development, timing and location of future growth, and directing investment and development activity.  It is a planning document adopted and maintained by the Franklin Municipal Planning Commission.

The Design Concepts are the keystones of the Plan. The Design Concepts Map shows recommended future land uses for parcels within the city limits and for the territory within the City's Urban Growth Boundary. Each Design Concept is explained in the Plan and lists the appropriate future land uses, desired site design features, and also contains Special Considerations which are unique policy statements about specific areas.
