Envision Franklin

Envision Franklin, the City's land use plan, is adopted and maintained by the Franklin Municipal Planning Commission. It is a general plan for physical development and articulates the vision for the future of the City and its Urban Growth Boundary.

Zoning Ordinance & Subdivision Regulations

These documents are the implementation tools of the policy statements in Envision Franklin. They contain rules of procedure, land uses, and zoning districts, and detailed design controls for how development should interact with our community (e.g. setbacks, landscaping, architecture).

Historic District Design Guidelines

The Franklin Historic District Design Guidelines are intended to assist property owners and the Historic Zoning Commission by guiding appropriate rehabilitation, new construction, and other improvements within the City’s local historic districts.
