CODE CHANGES HAVE TAKEN EFFECT!

Effective January 1, 2019, plan reviews and inspections are conducted using the 2018 edition of the National Fire Protection Association Life Safety Code 101 and the 2018 edition of the International Fire Code. These codes and standards apply to both new and existing buildings and occupancies. There is no "grandfathering" in the fire or life safety codes; this a zoning term.

View the City of Franklin's list of adopted codes HERE.

Design professionals, contractors, property owners/managers, and businesses should familiarize themselves with changes to the codes related to new construction as well as existing buildings and spaces that each code may address.
