Create a fire helmet shield that illustrates the 2025 Fire Prevention Week theme, “Charge Into Fire Safety. Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home.” For ideas visit www.fpw.org.
One Grand Prize Winner will be chosen. The Grand Prize Winner will receive a $100 Visa gift card, courtesy of Atmos Energy, and their artwork will be made into a real fire helmet shield for Sparky the Fire Dog’s helmet! You can see him wearing it at Franklin Fire Station 8 in Westhaven!
Up to nine First Place Winners may be chosen; one winner per grade. Each First Place Winner will receive a $50 Visa gift card, courtesy of Atmos Energy.
Artwork/entries should fit within the Helmet Shield Template provided. Use of the template is optional.
Students in Kindergarten through 8th grade who are Williamson County residents may enter.
Artwork/entries may be in any art medium (illustration, pen, paint, crayons, etc.).
Artwork/entries must be the original work of the artist.
Artwork/entries must be submitted digitally as a high-resolution file upload through the Online Entry Form. Accepted file types include PDF, DOC, DOCX, PNG, JPG, and JPEG. The file size limit is 5 MB.
One entry per contestant.
Upon submission, entrants grant the City of Franklin and the Franklin Fire Department all rights to the artwork.
The deadline to submit is 11:59 P.M. CST Sunday, October 26, 2025.
The winners will be announced by Friday, October 31, 2025.
The winning designs may be used in City of Franklin and Franklin Fire Department promotional materials.
A panel of community members will select the winners.
