If you need a smoke alarm and cannot afford to buy one, the Franklin Fire Department will install one for you free of charge.

If you buy your own battery-powered smoke alarm (and/or carbon monoxide alarm), Franklin Firefighters will install it for you, to make sure it's placed in the best location and working properly.

If you need to replace smoke alarms that are hard-wired into your household electricity, please call a qualified electrician to assist with this.
