Angie joined the City of Franklin in June 2019, bringing a passion for creating meaningful connections and improving processes. She successfully led the Mentorship Committee in launching a new Mentorship Program, helping staff grow both professionally and personally. Angie continues to champion excellence and efficiency in the City Recorder’s Office, ensuring the work is done with care and precision.

Before coming to Franklin, Angie served the City of Laramie, Wyoming, in various roles, including City Clerk and in Human Resources. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.

Lead contact for public records requests. Assists the City Recorder with agenda preparation, minute recordings, and general support for the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and their committee meetings.

Municipal Code and Records

All official City records, including ordinances, resolutions, and minutes, are maintained in the Administration Department. This office is also responsible for the city’s records management in accordance with the records retention policy of the city, along with state and federal law. In accordance with state law, most records maintained by the City are public records available for review by State of Tennessee residents. Some exceptions include records related to an ongoing criminal investigation or certain personal information in employee files.

Citizens wishing to view or get a copy of a record may complete a Public Record Request through the link below. 

The City’s Municipal Code is available on the City’s Website and updated shortly after each Board of Mayor and Aldermen’s meeting to include any new ordinances passed by the Board.

Agendas and Minutes

The City Recorder’s office manages the preparation of the Board’s regular meeting agendas, as well as the Budget and Finance and Capital Investment Committee agendas. The City Recorder posts the Board’s meeting agenda to the City Website at least 48 hours before the meeting. Committee agendas are posted the week prior to the committee meeting. Retail Certificates for Liquor Stores

The Board of Mayor and Aldermen approve the issuance and renewals of all liquor store retail certificates, coordinated through the City Recorder.
