The City of Franklin has nine volunteers who serve on the Sustainability Commission. The Commission serves as a policy advisory board to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and City staff with a focus on energy, waste reduction, and transportation and mobility. The Commission also oversees Franklin's participation as a Bee City USA affiliate.

The Commission typically meets on the second Friday of each month at 8:00 AM in the interim Franklin City Hall located at 740 Columbia Avenue. The agenda packets are posted on the City's website in advance of the meeting.
