Woman Searching for Dog Following Mobile Home Fire

Post Date:03/10/2020 6:51 PM

Franklin Estates Mobile Home Park fireFranklin, TN - A woman is searching for her dog following a trailer fire this afternoon in the Franklin Estates Mobile Home Park at 700 W. Meade Blvd.

Franklin Firefighters were dispatched to the home at 3:42 PM on a residential fire alarm.  Lt. Max Cook and crew arrived to find smoke showing and exterior fire damage.  They immediately upgraded the call to a structure fire and radioed for additional units.

As they made entry, a dog, who was home alone, ran out.  The dog is a 12-year old Yorkie named “Boo Bear.”  Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, limiting damage and maintaining the livability of the residence, however, they were unable to locate the dog.  If you find him call Franklin Police at 615-794-2513.

Cook said the fire, which is still under investigation, appeared to have started on the stove top.
