Franklin Christmas tree damaged by vandal

Post Date:12/16/2019 9:00 AM

For the second time this season, someone has tampered with the Franklin Christmas tree on the historic downtown square.

Thursday night, December 12, someone cut two branches from it, shorting out circuits that control the tree’s lights. With the use of CCTV, authorities have ruled the Grinch out as a suspect. Further review of the video is being conducted in an attempt to identify the person responsible.

Franklin Police and Crime Stoppers are offering a cash reward for information. You can leave an anonymous tip by calling (615) 794-4000.
