Police investigating after mom, son found deceased in their Franklin home

Post Date:12/10/2019 8:00 PM

At 5:25 Tuesday night, Franklin Police were summoned to a home in the 300 block of Mealer Street, in Franklin’s Hurstbourne Park Subdivision, after a 43-year-old woman and her 12-year-old son were found deceased inside. Both had been shot. Another family member called 9-1-1 after making the discovery. At this point, nothing indicates that there is an at-large suspect.

This case brings unimaginable pain to the family, and our prayers are with them. Our detectives are conducting a thorough investigation to determine what exactly happened. Until we are certain that family and close friends have been notified about this tragedy, we are not releasing the identities of those involved or any additional information about this case.
