City Announces 2019 My Historic Franklin Photo Contest on Instagram

Hundreds of Dollars in Prizes with Grand Prize, tickets to the Pilgrimage Festival

Franklin—In honor of Preservation month in May, the City of Franklin announces the 2019 My Historic Franklin Photo contest with hundreds of dollars in prizes, plus a chance to win two free tickets to the Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival, happening this September in Franklin! The contest runs May 1-20th on the City of Franklin Instagram page @cityoffranklintn.  Awards will be given for the top three photos of Historic Franklin landscapes or buildings.  The winning photos will be displayed at the Franklin Visitors Center during the July Art Crawl!

How to Enter:My Historic Franklin Photo Contest image

  • Post your photo to Instagram and include the tag @cityoffranklintn to be considered in this contest.
  • Entrants must also follow the City of Franklin on Instagram @cityoffranklintn.  The photos must be posted between May 1 and May 20, 2019.
    The city will contact the winner through Instagram.
  • Each entry must include an aspect of Franklin that features (1) Architecture and/or (2) Landscape.

Entrants must be 15 years or older to participate and must be a legal resident of Williamson County.  Employees of the City are not eligible to win. Winners will be announced on May 28, at the Board of Mayor and Alderman Meeting and later on the City’s social media pages.  All photographs submitted become the property of the City of Franklin and, as such, may be published elsewhere (including social media pages) without the express written consent of the entrant. Special thanks to the Heritage Foundation, Convention and Visitors Bureau, The Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival, Battle of Franklin Trust and The Historic Franklin Masonic Hall Foundation for the donation of prizes for this contest.  See more about the Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival Lineup and schedule at www.pilgrimagefestival.com.
