Franklin, TN – A Franklin woman is free on bond after her drunk driving arrest, and close call. Officers responded to the 500 block of Riverview Drive last night just before midnight for a one-car rollover crash. When officers arrived they found the driver, 40-year-old Dana Rich, still in her seatbelt and hanging upside down in the driver’s seat of her overturned 2001 Toyota. Rescue workers freed Rich whose ride in an ambulance was followed by a ride in a police car.
Rich, free on a $3,000 bond, will appear before a Williamson County Judge on 08/09/2012 on the charges of DUI, Violation of the Implied Consent Law, and Failure to Maintain a Lane.

Impaired driving and impaired-related crashes constitute one of the nation’s leading health problems. These events result in more deaths each year than do total homicides, and alcohol is a factor in 35% of all crashes in the United States (http://www.tdot.state.tn.us/ghso/booze_lose.htm).
