He remains in custody at the Williamson County Jail on a $3,500 bond.
Diefenbaugh’s passenger, April Hicks, 37 of Spring Hill, is the registered owner of the vehicle Diefenbaugh was driving. She was arrested and charged with DUI by Consent for simply allowing Diefenbaugh to drive her car, drunk. During a search of her purse, officers found pain pills not prescribed to Hicks. Now facing the additional charge of Possession of a Legend Drug Without a Prescription, Hicks is free on a $2,500 bond. Both defendants are due in court on 08/02/2012 at 2:00pm
Impaired driving and impaired-related crashes constitute one of the nation’s leading health problems. These events result in more deaths each year than do total homicides, and alcohol is a factor in 35% of all crashes in the United States (http://www.tdot.state.tn.us/ghso/booze_lose.htm).
