Included in the FY 2009-2010 budget are 689 full-time and 52 part-time/seasonal approved positions. Employees are currently paid bi-weekly. Approximately 95% of employee payments are made by direct deposit.
From July 2008 - June 2009, the City prepared over 18,000 payments to more than 700 employees in excess of $21 million in net pay as shown below:

The payroll staff also transmits payments and produces for: quarterly and annual reports for 940 and 941 IRS withholding forms, various deductions for optional life and health insurance, various other deductions required by law, and reporting of employee contributions to 401a, 457 and retiree health investment plans.
