Posted Date: 11/16/2012 10:15 AM

2012 Toy DriveFranklin, TN – The Franklin Firefighters will officially kick-off their 5th Annual Toy and Clothing Drive on Monday, November 19 with a party at Avenue Bank, 101 International Drive, Suite 100, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Stop by with the kids for an opportunity to see the fire truck, enjoy refreshments, and spread Christmas cheer to Williamson County children who are less fortunate.

There will be a Christmas fire hydrant display at the bank, as well as at all Franklin Fire Stations and City Hall, filled with gift request cards from local children identified by the Williamson County Chapter of the Boys and Girls Club of Middle Tennessee. Firefighters are encouraging community members to select cards. New, unwrapped gifts should be returned with request cards to the collection stations by December 7th.

Monetary donations may also be made to Franklin Firefighters Charities and will be accepted at Franklin Fire Administration and Avenue Bank. All contributions are tax deductible.

Since 2008, the toy and clothing drive has benefitted more than 1,000 children throughout Williamson County.

Firefighters and volunteers will wrap the gifts and prepare them for distribution at two Christmas parties, which will take place on December 21st.
