When the zoning map does not support the applicant’s intended use of the property, a request is made to amend the map to change a subject property to a zoning district classification that will permit the proposed land use(s). The rezoning process allows for the review of proposed modifications either to the Zoning Maps or to the text of the Zoning Ordinance.

 

The Planning Commission recommends either approval or disapproval to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen of the Ordinance to rezone a property.

Consideration of Ordinance 2018-02; To Be Entitled, “An Ordinance To Rezone 19.11 Acres From  Specific Development Variety 2.5/40,536 District To Specific Development Variety 0/96,536 District For The Property Located South Of Moores Lane And East Of Franklin Road, (Near 574 And 580 Franklin Road) (Branch Creek Crossing PUD Subdivision, Revision 3).”

Consideration Of Ordinance 2017‑55, To Be Entitled: “An Ordinance To Rezone 0.9 Acres From Specific Development‑Residential 10.0 (SD 10) District to Specific Development‑Residential 11.5 (SD‑R 11.5) District For The Property Located South Of West Main Street And East Of 9th Avenue South, 725 West Main Street (Arlington PUD Subdivision).”

Consideration of Resolution 2017‑91, To Be Entitled: “A Resolution Approving A Revised Development Plan For The Arlington PUD Subdivision, For The Property Located South Of West Main Street and East Of 9th Avenue South, 725 West Main Street.”

Consideration Of Ordinance 2018‑01, To Be Entitled: “An Ordinance To Rezone 1.11 Acres From Neighborhood Commercial (NC) District to Office Residential (OR) District For The Properties Located South Of West Main Street And West Of 11th Avenue South, 1101 & 1107 West Main Street.”

Consideration Of Resolution 2018‑04, To Be Entitled: “A Resolution Approving A Revised Development Plan For Branch Creek Crossing PUD Subdivision, For The Property Located South Of Moores Lane And East Of Franklin Road, Near 574 And 580 Franklin Road.”

Consideration of Ordinance 2018‑03, To Be Entitled: “An Ordinance To Rezone 22.37 Acres From Specific Development Variety (SD‑X 0/34,500) District To Specific Development Variety (SD‑X 0/60,820) District For The Property Located South Of Moores Lane And East Of Franklin Road, (Near 554 And 562 Franklin Road) (Family Legacy PUD Subdivision, Revision 1).”

Consideration of Ordinance 2018‑04, To Be Entitled: “An Ordinance To Rezone 3.95 Acres From Light Industrial District (LI) To Neighborhood Commercial (NC) District For The Property Located West Of Columbia Avenue And South Of Fairgrounds Street (Near 200 And 300 Downs Boulevard).”
