The City of Franklin reviews all development plans, building construction plans, and fire protection plans in electronic format. Plans are submitted online using a secure website.
Fire sprinkler plans (underground and aboveground) must be submitted in both CAD (.dwg) format and PDF (.pdf) due to the type of review and archiving process.
For information on the electronic review process, please review a document from the City's Planning and Sustainability Department that explains the development plan/plat/site plant submittal process. That document can be found by clicking here.
To submit fire protection plans, please visit https://franklin.idtplans.com/secure.
Plan review times mirror the Building & Neighborhood Services construction document review process.
Please allow up to 20 working days for new submissions and revisions/corrections with significant issues.
Please allow up to 10 working days for review of revised/corrected fire protection plans.
You may contact a Permit Technician in Building and Neighborhood Services (BNS) for technical assistance regarding the plan upload process, responding to review comments, or downloading approved plans for your records. The office number is 615-794-7012.
