The Franklin Fire Department is just one of 11,500 fire departments in the US that uses Knox® products for rapid entry into commercial buildings equipped with fire alarms and/or fire sprinkler systems. Property owners without these systems may opt to purchase the high-security Knox-Box® key box to prevent and minimize damage to commercial doors and windows when firefighters must use forcible entry tools to investigate reports of smoke or fire.
To order, visit www.knoxbox.com (link opens in a new window).

Select your model of Knox-Box.
- The 3200 series is most-often indicated for single tenant spaces/buildings. Larger buildings with multiple tenants may be directed by the fire department to select a model 4100 series or 4400 series. Please confirm the appropriate model with the department before ordering.
- For all models, we recommend the recess mount for added security.
- The fire department also recommends the hinged door model of the 3200, 4100, and 4400 series boxes
If the building has a fire sprinkler system, Knox FDC caps or plugs are also required.
Individual residential boxes are also available for order online. The 1650 series offers a non-permanent solution for temporary conditions such as illness or injury that limits one's ability to allow emergency responders quick access to your home for medical emergencies.
Once you have added the items to your cart, complete the ordering process as directed on the website.
The fire department will receive an electronic notification of your completed order.
